ASTM A182 / ASME SA182 6000 Class F304 / 304L Stainless Steel Socket Welded Flange

The Socket Welded Flange is a flange used for pipe connections where the pipe end is inserted into the annular step of the flange and welded at the end of the pipe and on the outside to form the connection. The flange is designed with a characteristic step-like structure which allows the mating pipe to be inserted only to a certain depth, thus facilitating positioning and welding. The pipe to flange joint is fillet welded at the joint and then welded on the other side to ensure a strong joint.
