What is Long Radius Elbow?
A SMLSLong Radius (LR) 90° elbow refers to an elbow with a bending radius of 1.5 times the nominal pipe diameter (1.5D). This gentle and gradual turning design can minimize pressure loss and turbulence when fluid passes through, and reduce erosion and corrosion of the pipe wall. Manufacturing Process Flow of SMLSCO Fitting

Subsequently, the pipe section was precisely shaped into a 90° bend through processes such as cold pressing and pushing. After forming, all elbows will enter the heat treatment furnace for solution annealing to restore the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the material that have changed due to cold processing. Finally, it can only be stored after surface pickling, end groove processing, and final inspection.
