In 2000, a young man in Enshi, China who was determined to become the king of fruit in the county when he was studying. He entered the stainless steel industry after graduation and became a sales. He didn't realize he'd been in the industry for over 20 years.
Since 2006, after nearly 20 years of cultivation, MT Stainless Steel has developed into MT Holding Group, which has 4 business divisions and subsidiaries, and a MITA Research Institute. One of the subsidiaries of the MT Holding Group is SMLSCO. SMLSCO has gradually cultivated a group of post-90s industry new force in this traditional industry. The founder, Brave Hua, with his courage and wisdom, aspires to contribute to the industrial innovation of this traditional industry in the world.
‘At the beginning of the business, many foreign traders seized opportunities by grasping the information gap and relying on boldness. During that period, I led the founding team to quickly accumulate start-up capital and experience through flexible market operations.’
However, with the changes in the internal and external business environment, the business model could not continue to follow the same old routine. The company had to shift its mindset to identify and grasp opportunities through in-depth knowledge and systematic management to make long-termist investments. During this transformation process, apart from the business environment, the organisation and individuals also changed a lot during those years.
‘The staffing crisis at that time prompted me to force myself to improve myself through learning, and I can say that it was also in those hardships that I started to learn like crazy, that I had to create a learning organisation and had to develop a talent ladder. Learning is not difficult for me. When old friends get together, friends often say, from 20 years ago you like to take a pen, chatting to hear what learning is desperately trying to remember. The desire to learn and want to progress is something I've had since I was a child.’
Of course, in this process, there are old employees do not understand. We used some inappropriate methods, but Mr. Hua firmly believe that the goal itself is right

At present, SMLSCO’s learning frequency is daily according to different ranks, divided into themes. On the one hand, the management continuously pays attention to the learning output of the staff's position to ensure that the learning can be put into practice and does not become a formality; on the other hand, we also try our best to let the staff feel that learning and sharing is a kind of teaching and learning, and a self-benefiting and other-benefiting initiative. Through learning, we master practical tools, and gradually, learning becomes a daily culture at SMLSCO. Currently, we have more than 9 million words of knowledge deposited within this learning organisation.
More than ten years ago, Mr. Hua also started a factory, but due to the immaturity of the cognitive level, management ability, selection and employment at that time, he ended up losing a lot. Having experienced many such stories that almost turned into accidents in entrepreneurship, those former difficulties and setbacks are nothing in retrospect.
‘In my entrepreneurial process, I did encounter a lot of difficulties, but the difficulty it is also just a difficulty, is a QUESTION not a PROBLEM and further inspire me to solve the problem through learning. Encountering hardships when I’m young is a good growth experience.’
At present, MT Holding Group has MT Stainless Steel(MTSCO), SMLSCO, Yongheng Steel, Hongdi Pipe, Siri Tubing, 5 enterprises, and also has the only strategic co-operation factory with each other, so that each category has a factory. MT Holding Group ranks in the top three in China for the export of stainless steel piping products in general.
