About Casting Fittings

Types of Cast Tee
Casting tees is the basic component for creating a 90° branch on the main pipeline. SMLSCO offers two main types: Equal Tee, with three identical port sizes for evenly distributing flow; And reducing tee, whose branch pipe port size is smaller than the main pipe port, is used to connect smaller equipment or branch pipelines. Material Properties of CF8M/316
CF8M (commonly known as cast 316) material has significantly better corrosion resistance than conventional CF8/304 material due to the presence of molybdenum (Mo) element, especially its ability to resist chloride pitting and crevice corrosion. This makes it a more durable and reliable choice, especially suitable for plumbing systems that may handle chemically treated water, brackish water, or other corrosive factors, effectively extending the service life of fittings.
