SMLSCO cast elbow series offers multiple forms to meet different pipeline layout requirements. This 45° elbow is used to achieve a smooth turn in pipelines, and can generate less fluid resistance compared to a 90° elbow. We also offer 90° elbows for standard right angle turns, as well as Street Elbows with internal and external threads on one end to save installation space.
This elbow features NPT (American standard pipe taper thread) connection with a tooth angle of 60° and a thread taper of 1:16, forming an effective mechanical seal when tightened. This welding-free connection method offers convenient installation and disassembly, making it a common choice for industrial and civilian pipelines in North America and globally.
304 stainless steel (cast as CF8) offers excellent corrosion resistance in water, air, and various weakly corrosive media. Its mechanical properties and ease of processing make it ideal for manufacturing low-pressure pipe fittings in water supply, drainage, and general chemical applications, combining reliability with economy.
The Class 150 cast 45° elbow is primarily used for smooth turns in low-pressure pipelines. Widely applied in building water systems, HVAC, and general industrial fluid transport, it provides flexible pipeline layout solutions with lower flow resistance in non-critical, non-high pressure conditions.
