Product Description

ASTM A182 F316 Blind Flange Class 600 DN150 RF

SMLSCO Flange Quality Assurance & Testing

Blind flange is the ultimate safety barrier for pipelines, and its quality is crucial. SMLSCO Class 600 flanges undergo strict quality control processes to ensure they can safely withstand high pressure. We conduct material verification through 100% PMI to ensure the accuracy of F316 grade; Simultaneously conduct precise measurements of dimensions to ensure compliance with ASME B16.5 standards. The core working surface, the sealing surface, will undergo careful inspection and perform penetrant testing (PT) to ensure that there are no minor defects on the surface that may cause leakage.

  • Product Name: Forged Blind Flange

  • Application: Pipeline End Closure, Pressure Vessel Isolation
What is Blind Flanges?

Blind flange is a solid flange without a hole in the middle, mainly used to seal the end of pipelines or reserved pipe openings. Unlike pipe caps that provide permanent closure, blind flanges are connected by bolts and have the advantage of being detachable, making it easy for future maintenance, extension, or modification of pipelines. As an important pressure bearing component, its design must be able to withstand the same pressure as the pipeline system, ensuring absolute safety and sealing of the sealing point.

Introduction to Flange Facing Types

Raised Face (RF) is the most widely used type of flange sealing surface. It concentrates the pre tightening force of the bolt on a smaller area by raising the contact area of the gasket, thereby generating higher compressive stress and achieving reliable sealing. In addition to RF, SMLSCO can also provide various sealing surfaces according to the working conditions, such as full plane (FF) suitable for low-pressure working conditions and ring connection surface (RTJ) suitable for ultra-high pressure working conditions, to meet the specific sealing requirements of different projects.

ASME B16.5 Pressure Classes

ASME B16.5 is the most widely used pipe flange standard worldwide, defining a complete pressure temperature rating system, known as the "Class" series. This series is divided into six levels: Class 150, 300, 600, 900, 1500, and 2500. The larger the number, the higher the pressure that the flange can withstand at the corresponding temperature. Class 600 belongs to the medium to high voltage category, designed specifically for harsh working conditions in industries such as petroleum, chemical, and power generation, providing a high level of safety margin.

SMLSCO Supply Advantages

The core strategy of SMLSCO's flange business is to drive rapid manufacturing with semi-finished inventory. We are not stockpiling a massive amount of finished products, but strategically maintaining over 500 tons of various stainless steel forged flange blanks. This mode endows us with extremely high production flexibility, enabling us to quickly machine according to customers' requirements for different materials (such as F316), pressure levels (such as Class 600), or special sizes, achieving delivery cycles far faster than traditional "starting from scratch".
