Casting Fitting Threaded Connection Method
This elbow adopts BSP (British Standard Pipe Thread) connection, which is a widely used thread standard in Europe, the Commonwealth, and many other regions around the world. With its 55° thread angle design, it can be connected via tapered threads (BSPT) or parallel threads (BSPP). Threaded connections eliminate the need for on-site welding, making installation and disassembly highly convenient. It is a cost-effective and flexible connection solution in low-pressure piping systems.
CF8M/316 Material Properties
The use of CF8M/316 stainless steel provides stronger corrosion protection for low-pressure pipelines. Compared to the common 304 material, 316, with the addition of molybdenum, is more effective in resisting the erosion of chlorides and various industrial chemical media. For low-pressure systems with higher requirements for service life and reliability, choosing 316 material for pipe fittings means opting for lower long-term maintenance costs and higher operational safety.

Casting Elbow Production Process
Our cast pipe fittings are produced using precision casting (sol silicate) technology to achieve excellent dimensional accuracy and surface finish. This process begins with the creation of a wax mold, which is then coated with multiple layers of refractory material to form a ceramic shell. The shell is then heated, causing the wax to melt and flow out. Next, molten stainless steel is poured into the hollow shell. After the steel cools and solidifies, the shell is broken away, revealing a high-precision pipe fitting blank. This blank is then machined, threaded, and undergoes other processes to become the final product.
Application of Casting Fitting
Class 150-pound 316 stainless steel elbows are fundamental components in various low-pressure industrial piping systems. They are widely used in applications requiring higher corrosion resistance, such as auxiliary pipelines in the chemical industry, water supply and drainage systems in coastal areas, and other situations where corrosive fluids may be encountered. The 1/2-inch small-diameter design makes them particularly suitable for connecting instrument pipelines, sampling points, and small branch lines.
